Senior Tai Chi Classes
Seniors often experience special benefits from taking Yang Style Tai Chi. It can help joint problems, arthritis and stiffness, and diabetic symptoms. It opens up all the joints and meridians, oxygenating the organs, lubricating connective tissues, encouraging blood flow, and facilitating natural healing. Leg, arm, and core strength is rebuilt as the Tai Chi form is practiced; energy and balance are restored. Tai Chi also helps create and retain flexibility, a characteristic that is central to feeling younger.
Although senior tai chi classes are not martial in presentation or practice, Sifu explains the martial logic behind various steps. Understanding the true purpose of a stance or movement reinforces correct form and helps cement important concepts.
Seniors over the age of sixty pay only $75 per month for group tai chi classes. There are currently five group tai chi classes available and this discounted monthly fee covers attendance in any or all of them.

Currently, senior classes run Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 AM until 10:15 AM. We also have a Saturday morning drop-in class from 10 to 11 AM. Please consult the schedule or call Sifu for details.
